AUTOMATA is a new initiative that traces the evolution of autonomous art from mechanical origins to AI-driven futures, positioning machines as creative collaborators rather than mere tools. This exhibition spans over a century of innovation, from early mechanical drawing devices to contemporary AI systems and blockchain-based organisms. Through live robotic demonstrations, generative terminals, and physical installations, we look to challenge traditional notions of authorship and creativity, establishing a cultural lineage that legitimizes autonomous systems as artistic entities in their own right.

Cypherdudes is a generative cryptoart series paying tribute to the Cypherpunk movement, which has been campaigning for the protection of privacy on the internet since the early 90s, and was behind the creation of bitcoin in 2008.

Each owner of a work from the series has access to a hidden feature: the ability to inscribe an encrypted message in the work itself. The encryption key is decided by the owner on every inscription. This message can then only be decoded by a recipient knowing the key.

The primary purpose of the Betha and Teff Sarasin Foundation is to preserve, make accessible to the public and sell the works of the founding couple as well as works created in collaboration with third parties.

The foundation is now presenting the Curated Edition of the web-based audio-visual real-time animation SPIRALPROJEKT for the first time. This creates a link to the 1983 version, which is an early example of generative art. Kevin Abosch, Hans Dehlinger, Mario Klingemann and Susanne Päch were invited to explore the potential of this historically evolved software.

Manifesto Terricola by Solimán López is a transdisciplinary project that explores the future of life on Earth through art, science, and digital technologies. Rooted in a speculative vision of humanity, it proposes a new planetary consciousness by encoding a human manifesto into DNA and storing it in a bioprinted collagen ear inside a glacier in Svalbard, proposing a future of digital humanities stored in collaboration with nature.

As part of Digital Art Mile, the project invites viewers to reflect on the limits of life, data, and memory, while highlighting the urgency of ecological transition and digital memories.

From biotechnology to digital preservation, Manifesto Terricola is a poetic and political gesture for a species in transformation.
